Why this, and not something easier

Families managing a child's therapy are doing unpaid administrative work on top of parenting: keeping the goals straight, noticing what triggered a hard afternoon, remembering when the dose changed, arriving at a short appointment able to answer three months of questions. Most of it currently lives in a notes app, a message thread to oneself, and a bag of paper.

Milestone exists to hold that instead — carefully, privately, and without adding another thing to keep up with. It is built to be usable by somebody exhausted, which turns out to be the whole design brief.

How we work

Small and deliberately slow. We would rather ship one screen that works on the worst day of someone's month than five that demo well. Nothing is instrumented, so we find out whether something works by asking people, which is slower and more honest.
